چکیده

This paper aims to address the deficiencies of current internetworking to support mobility and moving networks. We present a novel approach to consider networking in general the concept of Ambient Networks and discuss related mobility problems. We bring forth several challenges for future research demanding an architectural approach in order to reach a solution in a uniform, efficient, and integrated fashion.

State Support: A Prerequisite for Global Health Network Effectiveness; Comment on “Four Challenges that Global Health Networks Face”

Shiffman recently summarized lessons for network effectiveness from an impressive collection of case-studies. However, in common with most global health governance analysis in recent years, Shiffman underplays the important role of states in these global networks. As the body which decides and signs international agreements, often provides the resourcing, and is responsible for implementing ini...

Target Tracking Based on Virtual Grid in Wireless Sensor Networks

One of the most important and typical application of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is target tracking. Although target tracking, can provide benefits for large-scale WSNs and organize them into clusters but tracking a moving target in cluster-based WSNs suffers a boundary problem. The main goal of this paper was to introduce an efficient and novel mobility management protocol namely Target Tr...

A formal role-based access control model for security policies in multi-domain mobile networks

Mobile users present challenges for security in multi-domain mobile networks. The actions of mobile users moving across security domains need to be specified and checked against domain and inter-domain policies. We propose a new formal security policy model for multi-domain mobile networks, called FPM-RBAC, Formal Policy Model for Mobility with Role Based Access Control. FPM-RBAC supports the s...

Clustering for Networks of Moving Objects

This chapter presents the overview of the technical challenges and the currently available solutions to the problem of clustering of moving objects in ad hoc wireless networks. The networks of moving objects have been receiving increasing interest recently. These networks include networks of flying objects, networks of cars and other vehicles, networks of people moving in the cities, and networ...

Social Media and Social Mobility: Exploring the Role of Social Networks in the 2018 Boycott Campaign in Morocco

Social networks have been resorted to as effective platforms for social mobility in many parts of the world. This mobility occurs when social media users exploit their interpersonal relationships, especially their ‘weak ties’ (Granovetter, 1973). Social networks enable their users to be producers of information, rather than mere consumers, and to be socially and politically well-informed. They ...
